Dr. Anand Kumar supports the symposium “Bhutanese refugees-the tragic story of forgotten people”

Human Rights Defense International is organizing a symposium to address the plight of 1,30,000 Hindus who were  forcibly exiled by the state to suffer torture,hopelessness,despair and loss of political status and thereby making Bhutan the only county in the world that has the highest percentage of population living as refugees outside its boundaries. Dr. Anand Kumar renowned social thinker and supporter of the cause of Bhutanese refugees has espoused   the the symposium and has consented to be the key note speaker at the symposium.

Symposium would be held at Indian Law Institute, New Delhi  on 14th July 2012 and would  also  be  attended by representatives of Bhutanese refugees from Nepal.
