Mail Today Bureau/ New Delhi

MEMBERS of Human Rights Defence International ( HRDI) organised a protest at Teen Murti Bhavan on Sunday in solidarity with a Pakistani Hindu girl, Rinkle Kumari, who has been allegedly kidnapped and abused by a politician there.

HRDI claims that Rinkle was kidnapped exactly a year ago on February 24 and was forced to convert to Islam.

Hoping that Rinkles case will be taken up seriously by international community like that of Malala, who survived an attack by terror group Tehreek- i- Taliban in Pakistan, human rights activists gathered in front of Pakistans High Commissions, consuls and embassies in several parts of the world on Sunday.

In India, demonstrations were held in Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Gandhinagar and Indore as part of a campaign called “ Remembering Rinkle” launched by HRDI, an organisation that takes up causes of violations of human rights of Indian diaspora in various parts of the world
