Wigneswaran to Take Land Issue To Court
Northern Province Chief Minister C. V. Wigneswaran says the land issue in the North will be taken to court to reach a solution.
Wigneswaran says the issue of the Government taking over private land or refusing to return private land even after the war is over has become a contentious issue.
Speaking after a meeting held in Jaffna last week, the former Supreme Court Judge said that with the land issue continuing, the only way it can be resolved will be in court.
Wigneswaran said that the issue has led to many still remaining displaced or unable to obtain ownership of what is rightfully theirs.
