About eight fishing boats, carrying an unidentified number of fishermen are suspected to have been captured by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency off the Jakhau coast. “There are about eight boats, which have been intercepted by Pakistan, but we do not know the number of fishermen yet. We have yet to confirm their names and other details,” Porbandar Superintendent of Police Dipan Bhadran told The Hindu.
Though officials have to confirm the details, local activist Jeevanbhai Jungi told The Hindu that the boats were carrying about 52 fishermen, who were apprehended on Wednesday night.
